Dr. Elise Ager

Dr. Elise Ager is an Acupuncturist and Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine who graduated from the Canadian Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine (CITCM) in 2023. She incorporates her understanding of athletics and movement into holistic treatment to support strength, recovery, and performance.
With a background in fitness, Dr. Elise holds her CrossFit Level 1 certification and currently coaches at Barracks Fitness. Her hands-on experience with athletes in class lends itself well to the treatment room, helping to manage/mitigate pain, build resilience, and improve capacity.
While Dr. Elise loves to treat sports injury with a local approach, she also uses the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine to regulate the body to improve things such as sleep, digestion, headaches, mental well-being, menstrual health, and so much more.
Outside of the clinic, Elise enjoys skiing, hiking, scrapbooking, reading, and quality time with her dog…. oh, and fitness.

Dr. Mac Forde
Joining the Currie Barracks Team at the end of March 2026
Mac grew up in Toronto, Ontario, where his passion for sports began. He holds an Honours Bachelor of Kinesiology with a specialization in Sport and Human Performance from Wilfrid Laurier University and graduated Magna Cum Laude from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College. He is certified in Integrated Needling, Complete Concussion Management, and Athletic Taping.
His passion for sports extends to his professional work. Having grown up playing lacrosse, rugby, football, and hockey. Mac played lacrosse at the national level as well as in the Arena Lacrosse League. He has served as a sideline trainer for Wilfrid Laurier University’s men’s and women’s rugby teams, as well as for Rugby Ontario. Mac works with clients of all ages and activity levels, providing sports therapy and injury management for those seeking to maintain their recreational activities or pursue competitive goals.
Currently Mac does sideline care for the Calgary Mounties Jr. A Lacrosse team and travels with the Canadian Development Skeleton Team.
In his personal time, Mac enjoys skiing, weightlifting, finding new recipes and restaurants, as well as spending time outdoors.

Alexis Harle
With a lifelong background in sport - most notably many years of competitive hockey - Alexis brings a deep understanding of athletic performance and the demands placed on active individuals. Born in Columbus, Ohio and raised in Calgary, she built a diverse athletic foundation that includes high-level youth baseball and NCAA hockey, the latter played while completing her undergraduate degree in Biology in Rhode Island.
Her own experiences recovering from sport injuries sparked her passion for physiotherapy, showing her how exercise-based rehab can rebuild confidence, resilience, and trust in the body. That path led her back home to complete her Master’s of Physical Therapy at the University of Alberta.
Today, Alexis stays immersed in the fitness community as a CrossFit Level 2 coach and athlete at Barracks Fitness, where she loves the challenge of pushing both her physical and mental limits. At Ascent, she brings that same philosophy - movement, evidence-based treatment, and collaboration - to help clients reach their goals and return to the activities that give them purpose.

Dr. Justin Hodinsky DC
Dr. Hodinsky is a firm believer that movement is medicine. His goal is to help people move better, move more confidently, and stay active doing the things they love for years to come.
After obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Alberta, he then attended the University of Western States in Portland, Oregon where he achieved his Doctor of Chiropractic as well as a Bachelor of Science in Human Biology.
Competing in high level athletics for the majority of his life, Dr. Hodinsky was introduced to the world of sports chiropractic, which has ultimately shaped his approach as a practitioner today. He believes that chiropractic is more than adjustments and focuses on movement, education, and empowering individuals to reach and exceed their healthcare goals.

Gordon Lam
Gordon Lam is a Registered Massage Therapist who provides evidence-based, results-driven care for a wide range of clients, while specializing in the unique needs of gymnasts, dancers, and high-performance youth athletes. With a strong background as an NCCP Level 3 Artistic Gymnastics coach and a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist, he brings a rare combination of clinical skill and sport-specific insight to every treatment.
Gordon’s practice focuses on helping athletes manage overuse injuries, improve mobility, recover from training loads, and build long-term resilience. He integrates a variety of advanced therapeutic techniques, including Radial Shockwave Therapy, Graston Technique®, deep tissue work, corrective exercise, neuromuscular techniques, and functional movement assessments, to create individualized treatment plans that address both symptoms and root causes.

Natasha Lohues

Natasha is a big believer in the power of movement and loves to help people achieve their goals, no matter how big or small!
Natasha grew up in Southern Alberta, completing her Bachelors of Science degree at the University of Lethbridge and her Masters of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Toronto.
Natasha has experience working with a wide range of populations and injuries but she is especially passionate about treating female athletes and pre/postnatal clients. She has advanced pelvic floor training for both males and females (Levels 1-3 Pelvic Health Solutions) and is pursuing her Pre- & Postnatal Coaching certificate. Natasha is also certified for dry needling therapy in her treatments. During her post-secondary education, Natasha was a trainer for multiple varsity teams and has taken courses in sports taping, concussion and advanced first aid.
She takes an evidence-based, and holistic approach in her practice, integrating a combination of exercise, education, and manual therapy. Natasha views herself as a rehab “coach” giving patients the individualized tools they need to recover and prevent reinjury, and is a strong believer in having clients actively participate in their own treatment.
Growing up Natasha played multiple sports including soccer, volleyball, and basketball, but in the last few years she has branched out into dragon boat racing, bouldering, kickboxing, and yoga. With a background in Physical, Occupational, and Recreational Therapy, and personal experience with injury rehab, Jane brings both professional insight and empathy to every session. Taylor Wright
With over 14 seasons of coaching experience and NCCP Level 2 training in swimming - alongside years of coaching functional fitness and strength development - Taylor brings a deep understanding of human movement and performance to her massage practice.
A 2200-hour Registered Massage Therapist trained through Mount Royal University and the Alberta College of Massage Therapy, Taylor integrates her background in strength and conditioning, CrossFit, and competitive swimming to deliver movement-based, goal-oriented treatments for clients of all ages and activity levels.
She also holds a background in Community Rehabilitation and Disability Studies from the University of Calgary, where she gained valuable experience supporting individuals across a wide range of abilities and needs.
Her treatment style blends orthopedic assessment, functional movement principles, and individualized treatment planning to address pain, prevent injury, and promote long-term body health. Daniel Zackodnik
Daniel is a physiotherapist and professional firefighter in Calgary – he’s passionate about helping everyone, no matter their pain or predicament!
Daniel’s enthusiasm for optimizing health and well-being began during his university studies, where he served as the lead student therapist for the Cross Country and Track & Field teams and as a strength and conditioning intern supporting multiple varsity programs. After experiencing firsthand the positive impact that movement and health can have on people’s lives, Daniel completed his master’s degree and expanded his outreach in sports medicine, providing on-field medical assessments for provincially and nationally competing athletes in gymnastics and tennis. Drawing from over a decade of combined education and clinical experience treating a wide range of populations and injuries, Daniel believes that targeted movement, manual therapy, and evidence-based load management form the foundation for long-term recovery. His approach integrates soft-tissue techniques (including massage and joint mobilizations) to relieve pain and improve mobility, alongside corrective exercise, functional strengthening, and personalized education to empower each client’s recovery journey and build resilience for life.
Beyond the clinic, Daniel also serves as a firefighter with a special interest in the tactical athlete. His dual perspective as a first responder and clinician uniquely positions him to understand the physical and mental demands of high-performance professions.
